Tuesday a quiet day for candidate filing
According to the Rowan County Board of Elections website, no new candidates filed to run for office Tuesday.
Despite a relatively quiet day at the local elections office, three candidates did file in Raleigh to run for U.S. House seats – two Republicans and a Democrat.
Republican Philip Doyle from Clemmons filed to run for the District 5 seat in the U.S. House, while Republican incumbent Richard Hudson of Concord filed to run for the District 8 seat.
Antonio Blue, a Democrat from Hamlet, also filed to run for the District 8 seat in the U.S. House.
