Donna Peeler Poteat provided this old photograph from the Rowan Public Library’s website. It shows youngsters lined up at the Capitol Theatre box office preparing to see ‘The Corsican Brothers,’ starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Local movie historian Mike Cline says that particular film showed at the Capitol Jan. 11 and 12, 1942. The kids were not identified, but maybe some readers know who they are. Contact Mark Wineka at 704-797-4263, or mwineka@salisburypost.com if you know any of the identities.
