Donations helped bring happiness to children

All season, the community has reached into their wallets and given unselfishly to the Christmas Happiness Fund, which has gone on to help more than 1,500 children receive presents for Christmas.
Although the program has come to a close and the gift cards have been given to families this year, the community continues to give. Christmas Happiness contributions coming in now will go to start the program next year.
Christmas Happiness contributions are collected at the Salisbury Post. The donations are then listed in the paper each day. The Salvation Army of Rowan County distributes those contributions to area families in need.
