All-CCC teams announced

North Rowan swept the top All-CCC football awards released by the conference late Friday night.
Joe Nixon was named the league’s coach of the year. running back Jareke Chambers was named CCC Offensive Player of the Year, and linebacker Xavier Robinson was named CCC Defensive Player of the Year.
Also making All-CCC from North were punter/kicker Dylan Auten, safety Kasaun Coney, cornerback Mike Robinson, linebacker Kenyaun Coney, defensive linemen Cecil McCauley, Wesley Jefferies and Shane Parker, quarterback Alexis Archie, offensive linemen Josh Cozart, Brandon Rabon and Braxton Rabon and receivers Sakil Harrison, Darrell Taylor and Cameron Sifford.
Representing Salisbury on the All-CCC team are offensive lineman Michael Dyson, quarterback Riley Myers, running back Tim Rhodes, linebackers J.C. Burton and Clint Comadoll and defensive back Antwuan Payne.
East Davidson’s Michael Ramos was runner-up as offensive player of the year.
East Davidson’s Vince Hanner was runner-up for coach of the year honors.
Tennis
In girls tennis, Salisbury’s Alexandra Drye was named CCC Player of the Year
Joining Drye on the All-CCC team from Salisbury were Kayla Honeycutt, Anna Flynn, Madeline Hoskins, Kathryn Rusher and Grace Steinman.
North Rowan’s Veronica Leasure made All-CCC.
Lexington’s Emerson Hayes was runner-up as player of the year.
East Davidson’s Hillary Coffman was named CCC Coach of the Year.
Volleyball
North Rowan’s Makala Lytton was named CCC Player of the Year for volleyball. North shared the conference championship with West Davidson.
North setter Morgan Overcash made the All-CCC team.
Salisbury’s All-CCC players were Mary Seifert, Olivia Smith and Emma Labovitz.
Lexington’s Felicia Bradley was named CCC Coach of the Year. North’s Sandy Lytton was runner-up.
Soccer
Salisbury’s Bobby Cardelle was named CCC Player of the Year for soccer.
Joining Cardelle on the All-CCC team from Salisbury were Zack Sukkasem, Emmy Turcios, John Canipe, Michael Brown, Philip Simons and Clint Comadoll.
East Davidson’s Salvador Pecina was runner-up for player of the year honors.
West Davidson’s Adam Schofield was named goalie of the year. North Rowan’s Arnold Lezama was named All-CCC and was runner-up for goalie of the year.
Salisbury’s Matt Parrish was runner-up in the coach of the year voting.
Golf
Salisbury’s Isabella Rusher was the CCC Player of the Year for girls golf.
Joining Rusher on the All-CCC team were Hornets Grace Yatawara, Madeline Hoskins and Caroline Parrott.
Salisbury’s Dale Snyder was co-coach of the year, along with West Davidson’s David Klinkoski.
Cross country
Salisbury’s Susannah Dixon was All-CCC for girls cross country and was runner-up to West Davidson’s Callie Wynn for runner of the year honors.
West Davidson’s Lynn Ludwig was named coach of the year.
Salisbury’s Philip Simons was named CCC Runner of the Year for boys cross country.
Joining Simons on the All-CCC team were Hornets David Uto, Matt Washko and Max Patel.
Ludwig was named CCC Coach of the Year. East Davidson’s Austin Campbell was runner-up for runner of the year.
Livingstone’s women’s basketball team rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit and beat Catawba 58-55 on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Gym.
Catawba led 39-27 with just under 14 minutes left, but the Blue Bears outscored the Indians 17-4 over the next seven minutes and took the lead at 44-43 on a layup by Cierra York.
A bucket by Ashley Walker put Livingstone ahead for good at 48-47 with 5:24 left.
York hit two clutch free throws and Tiffany Evans made a bucket to put the Blue Bears up 57-53 with 37 seconds left.
Catawba’s Chloe Bully missed a 3-pointer to tie in the closing seconds.
York scored 20 for the Blue Bears (4-4). Evans scored 10, and Wendy Foster had 14 rebounds and five blocks.
Zhaquondalee Greer led Catawba with 15 points. Antionette McPhail had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Livingstone shot 27 percent in the first half but 60 percent after the break.
Catawba shot 25 percent for the game but had a chance because of 19-for-22 foul shooting.
Catawba led 27-17 at halftime.

Salisbury’s boys won 59-47 at North Wilkes on Friday.
DeShawn Troutman scored 14 points to lead the Hornets. M.J. Rayner scored 11, and Donnell Alexander had 10.
The Hornets (2-1) were in control at halftime with a 37-22 lead.
Jordan Church scored 19 for North Wilkes.
• Salisbury’s girls lost 89-55 to North Wilkes.
Monifa Angle scored 18 points for the Hornets, and Katy Wolfe scored 10. Both hit three 3-pointers.
Jackie Denny scored 22 to lead four North Wilkes players in double figures.
North Wilkes led 26-8 after the first quarter.

Davie County’s boys basketball team won 81-71 against Enka on Saturday in a Coaches vs. Cancer game played at UNC Asheville.
Peyton Sell hit seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points for the War Eagles (1-1).
Blaise Bennett had 12 points, and Jordan McDaniel scored 10.
Sell was named MVP, and the War Eagles raised $2,400.
Davie is home against Alexander Central on Monday.
Lenoir-Rhyne’s defense shut out Carson-Newman in the second half, and the Bears rallied to beat the Eagles 27-20 in a second-round game in the Division II playoffs on Saturday in Hickory.
L-R (11-1) trailed 20-10 at halftime. Ike Whitaker (Salisbury) rushed for 67 yards on 16 carries.
Backup QB Josh Justice was the hero for the Bears after replacing injured starter Teverrius Jones, who had rushed for 102 yards.
Justice scored the tying TD on a 4-yard run late in the third quarter and threw a 10-yard pass to Greyson Wells for the game-deciding TD with 4:49 left to play.
• Northern Alabama (10-2) beat UNC Pembroke 37-13 and will play at L-R next Saturday in a quarterfinal.
UNCP led 13-10 early in the second half.
