Twin sons, Jalen Dewayne and Jamel Blake, were born to Derrick and Tara Imes-Freeman of Salisbury on November 5, 2013, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Jalen weighed 4 pounds, 13 ounces, and Jamel weighed 5 pounds, 8 ounces. They have two brothers, Jeremiah, 10, and Thomas, 1. Grandparents are Margaret Swift of Kannapolis and Melvin and Arlene Imes of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are L. D. Imes of Woodleaf and Ernest and Bertie Mae Hoyle of Salisbury.
