The Rowan County Veterans Council will coordinate the annual Veterans Day Parade today, starting at the Hefner VA Medical Center and continuing through downtown Salisbury.
The parade will start at 1 p.m. at the VA, then reassemble and line up at Stallings Memorial Baptist Church on South Main Street, with additional vehicles added at Harrison Street by 1:30 p.m.
The parade will start at 2:30 and end at Kerr Street.
Prior to the parade there will be a Veteran’s Day ceremony at 10 a.m. in the social room of building No. 6 of the Hefner VA Medical Center. There will be a barbecue lunch after the ceremony at VFW Post #3006 on Brenner Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The price is $6 at the door.
