Community forum on education set for Thursday

The Rowan-Salisbury Association of Educators will host a community forum on education at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Called Educate Each Child, the discussion will focus on how to ensure every child in Rowan County gets a high quality education that prepares them to succeed in life, a flier for the event says.
Local and statewide panelists will talk about:
• How changes in education policies and the current state budget have affected Rowan County schools
• What the implications are for each childs education
• What you can do to make sure each child in North Carolina receives a high quality education
The forum will last from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Salisbury High School, 500 Lincolnton Road.
