Bridge ceremony to mark completion of I-85 project
RALEIGH (AP) — A bridge dedication is scheduled to mark the end of a project designed to make improvements to Interstate 85.
The ceremony to dedicate the Yadkin River Veterans Memorial Bridge is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The event marks the completion of the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project in Davidson and Rowan counties.
The new bridge replaces the old two-lane bridges that crossed the river. The new four-lane bridges include an emergency lane.
