Bisesi is new sports editor

Ryan Bisesi, sportswriter with the Salisbury Post since 2011, has been named the paper’s sports editor.
Bisesi, 28 started sports reporting while at North Johnston High School in Kenly, covering high school football and taking photos for the Kenly News and then the Goldsboro News-Argus.
While in college at N.C. State University, Bisesi was a sports correspondent/stringer for The News & Observer in Raleigh and served two internships: one with Scout.com, covering the Carolina Mudcats, Double A affiliate of the Florida Marlins; the other with the Carolina Hurricanes, working in media relations. He also worked as a sports staff writer for The Wilson Times.
Bisesi graduated from State in December 2008 with a B.A. in communications and came to the Post from The Dunn Daily Record, where he was sports editor.
He succeeds Ronnie Gallagher, who died suddenly in August after being the Post’s sports editor since 1997.
