Livingstone College’s volleyball team will sponsor a special event Oct. 30 for women who have breast cancer or are breast cancer survivors.
The Lady Blue Bears host Salem College at 6 p.m., and during “Dig Pink Night,” after the second game of the match, Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts and roses will be given to women who are battling breast cancer or who have survived the disease.
If you know someone you think should be honored during this special ceremony inside New Trent Gym, contact Volleyball Coach Reginald Isley with their name and number by 5 p.m. on Friday at 704-216-5873.
The T-shirts to be handed out on Oct. 30 were designed by Teasa Copeland, who played volleyball for Isley when he coached in Charlotte. Copeland’s son is a Livingstone sophomore, and her mother is a six-year breast cancer survivor.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
