Granite Quarry Elementary students were thrilled to welcome Marian Lytle from Rowan Public Library on Sept. 25. Lytle talked to students about the oral tradition, which transmits stories from generation to generation through storytelling.
Stories like “Going on a Bear Hunt,” “Wicked John and the Devil” and “Old One Eye” were some of the stories Lytle shared using her fun and engaging storytelling skills. One and all look forward to having her return and continue the oral tradition at Granite Quarry.
