The Novant Health Breast Center mobile mammography unit will be at Salisbury’s new Belk store Sunday.
Belk is in the Wallace Commons shopping center just off Julian Road at Interstate 85.
The unit will be on site from noon until 4 p.m. No appointment is required, but to reserve a time slot, call 704-210-5924 or email rfpuckett@novanthealth.org .
Novant says mammograms are covered as preventative screening under most insurance plans and the health care provider will file claims with insurance providers on patients’ behalf.
If a patient’s last mammogram was not at a Novant facility, Novant health care providers will need to contact the previous provider to get films from the most recent screening and compare them with the new ones.
