Salisbury’s Kathryn Rusher won against teammate Grace Steinman in the CCC tournament singles final on Tuesday at Lexington’s Bingham Center.
Rusher, Steinman and third-place finisher Olivia Varner of West Davidson were qualifiers for the Midwest Regional.
Salisbury’s doubles team of Alexandra Drye-Madeline Hoskins won the CCC tournament championship against teammates Kayla Honeycutt-Anna Flynn.
The Lexington duo of Emerson Hayes-Maggie Lancaster placed third and will join the two Hornets duos in the Midwest Regional.
Carson lost to Hickory Ridge 4-2 in overtime in SPC soccer on Tuesday.
Raunel Vasquez and Pedro Perez scored first-half goals for the Cougars for a 2-all time at halftime.

• East Rowan lost 5-2 to Central Cabarrus in SPC soccer on Tuesday. Salvador Sanchez and Bays Bost scored for the Mustangs.
Caroline Hubbard had 31 digs as South Rowan won 25-12, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12 against Mooresville.
Avery Locklear had 19 kills. Locklear and Kendyl Parker led in blocks. Kady Samples had six aces. Kylie Labbe had 14 digs.
•South’s jayvees won 25-20 and 25-20 against the Blue Devils.
Charlotte Mallard Creek, Havelock, North Rowan and Warsaw Kenan maintained their No. 1 AP state rankings this week. The Cavaliers (6-0) were a unanimous No. 1 in 2A.
Cox Mill won its fifth straight SPC golf match on Monday at Warrior.
Jaime Cassell led the Chargers with an even-par 35. She leads the individual race with one match left.
Cox Mill’s Alyssa Henry shot 41 Monday and is second in the individual race. Cox Mill’s Stella Schayan-Araghi shot 41 and is in fourth place.
West Rowan and East Rowan tied for second on Monday with 148s.
West’s Kelly Boley, who was the medalist last week at McCanless, shot 48 Monday. Markee Brandt shot 49, and Savannah Lloyd shot 51.
East’s Kathryn Marcum and Grace Stokes shot 48s. Riley Padgett shot 52.
East is second for the season and West is third.
South Rowan shot 153 Monday. South’s Alexandria Bare shot 44 to stay third in the individual race. Lea Morris shot 54 for the Raiders, and Casey Pruitt shot 55. Maren Lewallen shot 58, and Kolby Fisher shot 59.
Carson shot 157. Concord shot 161.
The last SPC match of the season is today at Rolling Hills. The conference tournament is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, at Corbin Hills.

Grace Yatawara shot 39 for the Hornets. Isabella Rusher shot 40, Shelby Holden carded a 51, while Caroline Parrott shot 52.
Madeline Hoskins was competing in the the CCC tennis tournament.
Anna Redding (38), Kate Collom (39) and Annie Collum (42) posted strong scores for Cannon School.
Will Colins (Salisbury) is tied for the first-round lead in the eGolf Tour’s NorthStone Open in Huntersville.
Collins birdied four of the first eight holes and shot 6-under 65. Erik Flores also carded a 65.
Salisbury’s Frank Adams III shot 67 to tie for fourth.
Catawba’s women finished 12th out of 18 teams in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.
Madison Kennedy (Salisbury) shot 77-78 — 155 and finished 13th. Catawba’s Leslie Long shot 157. Carmen Grubb (Davie) shot 175.
• Appalachian State’s Lily Yatawara (Salisbury) shot a third-round 82 and finished at 259 in the Lady Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
• In men’s golf, UNC Greensboro’s Roy Dixon (Salisbury) shot 72-78-74 — 224 and finished 47th in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate.
Catawba was swept by Queens 25-15, 25-16 and 25-11 in SAC volleyball on Tuesday.
Haley Lanier’s six kills led the Indians (2-9, 2-7).
• Catawba Valley Community College swept Toccoa Falls on Tuesday.
Aimee Cloninger (Carson) led the Bucs with 11 kills. Tiffany Brooks (South Rowan) had seven kills.
• Lenoir-Rhyne swept Brevard on Tuesday. Kayla Morrow (South) had three kills, five digs and three block assists. Emma Pope (South) had two digs. Brevard’s Amanda Possidente (East Rowan) had two digs.
Christian Bennett scored three TDs and two 2-point conversions in Erwin’s 22-6 seventh-grade win against Knox. Sam Wall, Diante Gallmon and Josh Smith pounded out yards on the ground for the Eagles behind strong blocking.
Erwin’s defense had seven sacks, including three each by Hunter Eagle and Gallmon. Smith had a sack and an interception.
• North Rowan Middle’s seventh-graders won 36-2 against Corriher-Lipe.
Cam Gill scored touchdowns on runs of 25 and 3 yards and ran for two 2-point conversions.
Jaden Perry had an 8-yard scoring rum. Josiah Hawthorne returned a fumble 45 yards for a TD.
Logan Stoner threw a 40-yard scoring pass to Dayjuwon Cook and Stoner ran for a 2-point conversion.
• China Grove’s seventh-graders won 16-14 against West Rowan Middle.
Quay Ford scored on runs of 5 and 7 yards to lead the Red Devils. He also caught a conversion pass from Jeff Bramblett, and Bramblett kicked a PAT.
Defensive standouts were Ford, Will Mabry, Josh McCurry and Dylan Johnson.
Salisbury Academy won 3-1 against Sacred Heart.
Mitch Jeter scored two goals, while Matthew Pickens had one. Emily Mann, Ben Coulter, Marshall Overcash and Sam Coombs led the defense for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars host a first-round tournament match on Thursday.
Erwin won its 11th match by defeating Southeast on Tuesday. Winners in singles and doubles for the Eagles were Haley Loflin, Angel Scialdone, Mia Graham, Lauren Weisensel, Destini Hamilton and Kristen Brady.
