Vote for the top street performer during Salisbury’s inaugural Buskers Bash and Best Busker Contest.
Local musicians and performing artists will take to the streets of downtown Salisbury from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Come to the tent outside Southern Spirit Gallery, 102 S. Main St., at 5 p.m. Friday to pick up a packet of Buskers Bash guitar picks, a walking map of street performers and a list of special offers from participating stores and restaurants.
Vote for your favorite performer by throwing a Buskers Bash guitar pick in the performer’s Busker Bucket.
The street performer with the most guitar picks in his or her Busker Bucket wins a Downtown Dollar prize, donated to the event by the Salisbury-Rowan Tourism Development Authority.
Prize winners will be announced at 9 p.m. at Uncle Bucks All American Grill & Pub, 127 S. Main St., followed by a live jam session with many of the street performers.
The event is free and open to the public.
