October is Head Start Awareness Month
Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency, Inc. Head Start/Early Head Start recognizes the importance of parents, volunteers and the community each day as children across a five-county service area receive quality child developmental services. Salisbury-Rowan Head Start/Early Head Start, a comprehensive program, ensures that children from birth to 5 years in age are successful. The program serves 200 children 0 to 36 months in age, 858 3- to 5-year-olds and 40 expectant mothers.
A quality program truly provides young children with a “Head Start in Life.” Families attain skills which lead to self-sufficiency and better lives. One of the greatest gifts an individual can give a child is quality time. Please come and volunteer at a Head Start center this month, helping celebrate Head Start Awareness Month.
For center information, feel free to contact 704-633-0003, extension 2222.
