GRANITE QUARRY — Mayor Mary Ponds has announced the upcoming installation of three-way stop signs, to be located at Depot and South Main streets in Granite Quarry.
The new signs, which will be installed next Thursday, are connected with a rail crossing improvement project planned on Bank Street. Construction on that project should occur by next spring.
The town elected to install the stop signs to help with traffic control along South Main Street.
Ponds is encouraging citizens to be aware of the new stop signs and come to a complete stop before proceeding through this intersection.
