Learn more about caring for horses’ legs and hooves Aug. 13

An Equine Leg and Hoof Care presentation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Rowan County Cooperative Extension Office, 2727 Old Concord Road. Dr. Michelle Gardner, DVM of Large Animal Medicine & Surgery, P.A., will discus the anatomy and function of the horse’s leg.
Gardner graduated from NCSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Upon graduation, she completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Everyone attending is asked to bring one or two non-perishable food items to be donated to Rowan Helping Ministries Food Bank. Please email sara_drake@ncsu.edu or call 704-216-8970 by Friday, Aug. 9, if you plan to attend.
