FAITH — C.J. Moody says he wants to help the community he grew up in by serving on the Faith Town Board of Alderman.
Moody, 35, of Raney Street, said he filed July 24 “to be more involved in the Faith community and to help keep our town the best place to live.”
Moody works at Fisher Realty. He is a graduate of West Rowan High School, attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and is a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He and his wife, Holly, have one son.
Moody’s father-in-law, Tim Williams, is a former mayor of Faith.
When only three candidates had filed for five open seats on the board, Moody said people began asking Williams to run again. Instead, Williams encouraged his son-in-law to run.
The filing deadline for the Faith board was extended from July 19 to July 24. Now, a total of three incumbents and four challengers — including Moody — have signed up to run for five seats on the town board.
