Authorities charged a Salisbury man over the weekend after he was spotted walking along a street.
Nothing with that, except that he wasn’t wearing any pants.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Efren Sanchez, 34, with misdemeanor indecent exposure on Saturday after getting several reports about a naked pedestrian. The deputy spotted a pantless man, later identified as Sanchez, on Cruse Road near Safrit Road.
The deputy turned on his blue lights and Sanchez walked from the edge of a woods, stared at the lights and then continued walking along Cruse Road.
The deputy told Sanchez to stop and put on the pants Sanchez was carrying in his hands.
Sanchez eventually complied, but he did not explain to the deputy why he was walking around pantless, other than he was heading back home on Fulton Street.
Sanchez was placed in the county jail under a $500 secured bond and has since been released.
