CLEVELAND — Gerald Osborne, 75, of West Main Street in Cleveland, is the second newcomer to file for Cleveland Town Commissioner.
“I have the time and experience to be helpful in town management,” Osborne wrote to the Salisbury Post.
He said his priorities are the good, efficient management of water, waste treatment, streets and sidewalks, police and fire protection.
Osborne is retired from Mohawk Industries, where he worked as a process control manager. Previously, he worked in production management for EMC Corp., Fiber Industries and Shaw Industries. He has also worked for the U.S. Postal Service and once ran his own retail business.
Osborne earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Clemson University.
He filed on July 17 to run for one of three open seats on the Cleveland Town Board of Commissioners. All three incumbents and another challenger are also running.
