SALISBURY — Want to see an advance screening of the “Sleepy Hollow” pilot before it premieres on Fox in September?
Fox is holding a nationwide contest to promote the supernatural TV series by pitting city against city for an exclusive screening. Three cities will win an advance screening of “Sleepy Hollow” by voting online.
The pilot was based in Salisbury, and 20th Century Fox shot scenes for the show in several downtown locations, including Bell Tower Park and the front yard of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
The rest of the TV series is being filmed in Wilmington.
The three towns with the most votes by 5 p.m. Aug. 19 will host the screening at a local theater. To vote, click here http://tinyurl.com/ndxqyhw.
The show is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. Mondays on Fox starting Sept. 16.
“Sleepy Hollow” takes a modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic tale, where Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer with supernatural experiences (Nicole Beharie) to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers.
