The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and Bojangle’s restaurant are partnering for a fundraiser for the agency’s Safety Pup Program. The educational program teaches children about being drug free and how to stay safe. Bojangle’s approached the Sheriff’s Office about contributing a percentage of its proceeds to help buy educational material.
The restaurant at 901 E. Innes St. will give 10 percent of its sales today from 5-8 p.m. for the program. Safety Pup will make an appearance, as well as the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Explorers and Sheriff Kevin Auten. The department’s Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) patrol vehicle will be there, as will the Bojangle’s restaurant Hummer.
