Salisbury Police charged a China Grove man Saturday with kidnapping a Salisbury woman more than a week ago.
Maykeo Mike Homsombath, 42, of Homsombath Lane, also was charged with misdemeanor larceny and assault on a female.
The incident, a warrant said, occurred June 19. He remains in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond. An arrest warrant said Homsombath punched the victim, Manisengkam Intravong, of Salisbury, in the stomach and lip. The warrant said he also took her cell phone. The warrant does not detail their relationship.
