Howard and Brenda Herman of Harrisburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Caitlin Ashley Herman, to John Edward Suther, son of Tommy and Annette Suther of China Grove.
Caitlin is the granddaughter of June Cathey, the late Jim and Nora Cathey and the late Howard and Catherine Herman Sr., all of Charlotte. A graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and UNC-Wilmington, she will soon graduate from Liberty University with a master’s degree as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
John is the grandson of Ruby Winecoff of China Grove, Lewis and Cindy Winecoff of Salisbury and the late Harris and Helen Suther of China Grove. A graduate of South Rowan High School and N.C. State University, he is employed by Wayne Brothers Inc. in Kannapolis.
The wedding is July 20 at Back Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
