Rashonda Bryana Nicole Cauthen of Salisbury earned a BSN nursing from Barton College when 230 seniors received diplomas on May 12 during the school’s 111th annual commencement exercises.
Sarah Catherine Shirley of Salisbury, has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Radford University. Shirley, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Shirley, is a senior design major.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have taken 15 or more credit hours and have a grade point average of 3.4 or above with no grade below a C.
The following Virginia Military Institute cadets are among the 671 cadets who were recently named to the dean’s list for the second semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a cadet must have a term grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below C.
Kannapolis — Daniel Z. Robinson, majoring in international studies.
Mooresville — Martin G. Frasier, majoring in biology.
College of Charleston graduate

Katherine Beaver of Salisbury graduated from the College of Charleston in a ceremony in the historic Cistern Yard on May 11.
Wake Forest dean’s list

The following students were named to the spring 2013 dean’s list at Wake Forest University.
Salisbury — Zoe Gonzales, Maxwell Messinger, Devereaux Swaim.
Woodleaf — Alexander Hunter, Caitlin Suire.
Mooresville — Meagan Weber.

Students who achieve a 3.4 and no grade below a C were named to the list.
Dr. David S. Wood, senior vice president of academic affairs and dean of Wofford College, has announced the dean’s list students for the spring 2013 semester, including:
Cala Rae Cocca of Salisbury, and Kane Carter Sherrill of Mooresville.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Chowan University officially announced the spring 2013 semester’s dean’s list honorees. Dean’s list winners have accomplished a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.79 for the semester. John Lohman of Salisbury earned dean’s list honors. This distinction for full-time students will become part of their official record.
Shaquille Cannon, a freshman from Salisbury, has made the dean’s list at N.C. A&T State University. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average or better to be named to the dean’s list.
Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,150 students on the 2013 spring semester president’s list, including Junior Cameron Feriante of Granite Quarry. To be eligible, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
