Rain, and more rain in this week’s forecast

SALISBURY — A few severe thunderstorms are possible as a soggy day settles in this week.
The National Weather Service issued an advisory early Tuesday that warns showers and thunderstorms will develop from the west today. Locally heavy rainfall, flash flooding and lightning are possible.
The chance for rain is 70 percent, with rainfall total of about an inch possible.
The rain is forecast to continue Wednesday and Thursday before sunshine returns by the weekend.
The highs will be in the low 80s with nightly temperatures in the 60s.
