A Rowan County man was charged this week with taking indecent liberties with a teen girl.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Andrew James Eury, 20, with one count indecent liberties with children, one count statutory rape and sex offense of a juvenile. The victim, authorities say, was a 14-year-old girl who was known to him. Capt. John Sifford said the two had corresponded with each other and were introduced by friends.
Eury remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
