SALISBURY — Tedra Hill, general manager of McDonald’s restaurant at 704 E. Innes St., won the prestigious Ray Kroc Award and was surprised with a presentation Thursday.
The award goes to the top 1 percent of restaurant managers among 14,000 U.S. restaurants, recognizing superior performance and achievement.
Among her McDonald’s family and customers, Hill is known as a dedicated manager who provides exceptional service to her employees and customers.
She has run the restaurant since 2006.
“Tedra and the Innes Street crew are a true team,” owner and operator Bill Austin said.
The location is open 24 hours a day, but Hill’s commitment to her job doesn’t stop with the food McDonald’s serves. She also finds ways to help her customers, crew and community, including support of Habitat for Humanity.
She works with three local high schools to ensure her employees are making good grades. In addition, her team has had several customer donation drives for area charities, including the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.
