Lions Club honors Kennerly, McCullough

Wayne Kennerly received the Man of the Year Award and Wendy McCullough won the Lion of the Year Award from the Salisbury Lions Club Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn.
Kennerly is active in his church, the Lions Club and the American Legion.
Under Kennerly’s leadership as commander of the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post 342, the post built the Veterans Memorial Wall honoring all that served in the military, including troops who were killed in action, missing in action and prisoners of war. He is the major fundraiser for the Legion golf tournament, he helps with the post’s holiday parties for handicapped children and he judges regional oratorical contests for Boys State.
He is active at Coburn Memorial Methodist Church.
He served as president of the Salisbury club in 1984 and 2010. He has been named Lion of the Year and received several awards, and he has served on the state and regional level.
McCullough is president of the Salisbury Lions Club, former president of the Salisbury Woman’s Club and is active in Sacred Heart Catholic Church’s parish council, school boosters club and Catholic Daughters.
