SALISBURY — Police released photos of two men wanted in connection with an arson fire at Walmart Sunday night.
Salisbury Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said the two men, who authorities listed as white males in their late teens or early 20s, were “persons of interest in the case.”
Surveillance footage showed the two men left the men’s clothing department shortly before employees were notified of a small blaze inside the store.
More than $5,000 in product was lost in the blaze, and authorities said more may be tallied as store officials probe possible smoke-damaged areas.
The flames were quickly put out by store employees before firefighters arrived on the scene Saturday night, authorities said.
The store was temporarily closed as employees used fans to clear the smoke.
The South Arlington Street store was open Monday.
