Catawba’s women’s basketball team beat Brevard 64-46 in a SAC game played at Goodman Gym on Wednesday.
Chloe Bully led the Indians with 19 points. Antionette McPhail added 15 points and nine rebounds.
Elizabeth Merritt scored 10 points. Taylor May (South Rowan) had nine points and six rebounds.
Catawba shot 48 percent to Brevard’s 32 percent and dominated the glass.
Tuccoa Brackett led the Tornados (3-8, 1-2) with 20 points.
Catawba (6-5, 2-1) will be back home on Saturday afternoon against Tusculum.

• Pfeiffer’s women’s basketball team rolled 67-46 against Belmont Abbey in Carolinas Confernce action on Tuesday.
Jodie Lemons led the Falcons (9-1, 4-1) with 17 points. Carter Williams hit four 3-pointers.
College men’s hoops
Pfeiffer’s men’s basketball team lost 81-65 to Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday.
Tyshawn Good scored 23 for the Crusaders (9-4, 2-3).
Josh Humphrey scored 21 for the Falcons (2-9, 1-4).
• Livingstone is home tonight for a CIAA contest against Elizabeth City State at 7:30 p.m.
Sacred Heart vs. S.A .
Sacred Heart’s varsity girls basketball team edged Salisbury Academy 25-24.
Peyton Russell scored 15 for the Dolphins. Annie Habeeb scored five.
• Sacred Heart’s varsity boys won 39-34 against Salisbury Academy.
Michael Childress scored 19 for the Dolphins. Joseph Harrison scored eight, and Justin Boyd had six.
Leading Salisbury Academy with 14 points and 11 rebounds was Jaleel McClellan.
Marcus Corry had seven points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Mike Hughes had six points and nine boards.
• The Sacred Heart jayvee boys won 36-12 against Salisbury Academy.
Erin Turnbull led the Dolphins with a season-high 12 points and five rebounds.
Jack Fisher had eight points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Zach Robinette scored eight points. William Austin led the defense.
Mitch Jeter and Archie Dees were the top scorers for the Jaguars.
• The Sacred Heart jayvee girls won 31-30 in overtime against Salisbury Academy.
Great defense sent the game to overtime.
Mary Sobataka scored 21 points, and Elizabeth Graeber made the winning basket.
The win was dedicated to Lillie Edwards, a Sacred Heart kindergartner who died over the weekend.
South Rowan’s girls scored 190 points and won a quad meet with East Rowan (154), Carson (115) and West Rowan (40).
Faith Casswell, Leslie Franks, Nicole Maudlin and Taylor Kluttz won the 200 medley relay, breaking the school record by 5 seconds and qualifying for regionals. All South’s boys and girls relay teams have qualified for regionals for the first time.
Mauldin won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. Casswell won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Kluttz won the 200 free. Franks won the 100 breaststroke. Mauldin, Kluttz, Franks and Sydney Kelly won the 200 free relay.
For East, Meagan Barbetto won the 500 free and Hailey Bartleson won the 500 free. Bartleson, Barbetto, Brooke Waller and Anna-Leigh Shuping won the 400 free relay.
Leading Carson with second places were Erin Marohn (100 butterfly) and Dakota Boardman (100 backstroke).
• In the boys meet, South scored 183 points. The Raiders were followed by East (144), Carson (113) and West (58).
Luke Rary won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly for the Raiders. Jeremiah Bradshaw won the 200 and 500 freestyle races.
Bonner Buchanan won the 50 free.
Buchanan, Jonnie Lefebvre, Bradshaw and Dillon Parker won the 200 medley relay. Buchanan, Tyler Fuller, Rary and Parker won the 200 free relay. Bradshaw, Bradley Bettis, Bryan Bettis and Rary came from behind to win the 400 free relay.
For East, Danny Martin won the 100 free, Jason Troutman won the 100 backstroke, and Robert Egloff won the 100 breaststroke.
Leading Carson with second places were Ryan Turney (100 backstroke), Henry Brown (100 breaststroke), John Patella (50 free) and Greg Tonnesen (100 free). Carson’s boys were second in all three relays.
West’s best finish was a third in the 200 free relay by Nick Waldo, Jacob Flemming, Josh Buinicky and Ben Wilson.
