Tim and Karen Deal of Salisbury recently celebrated their 40th anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. The Deals were married Oct. 14, 1972, at St. PaulŐs Lutheran Church in Salisbury by the Rev. Floyd Bost and the Rev. Gene Bost.
Retired from Salisbury-Rowan Schools, Karen is the daughter of the Rev. Floyd and Bonnie Bost of Salisbury. The son of the late E.L. ŇBillÓ and Jean Deal, Tim is employed by General Electric Co. in Salisbury.
The Deals have two sons, David and wife Tina of Advance and Jeff and wife Diana of Asheville, and a granddaughter, Jilian Deal.
Their trip to Hawaii included a weeklong cruise, visiting five Hawaiian islands and returning to the island of Kauai for an additional week. They celebrated their anniversary on the evening of Oct. 14 at DukeŐs Restaurant on Kalapaki Beach, Hawaii.
