?SALISBURY — Fire officials were unable to determine the cause of a Thursday night fire at a vacant home.
The fire occurred at 816 Ryan St., where officials said no one lived.
Granite Quarry Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Mark Troublefield said Friday, no cause could be determined.
Firefighters were called around 8:02 p.m. to the home, located near the intersection of Celebration Drive, off Old Concord Road. Salisbury and Granite Quarry firefighters responded to the scene to smoke billowing from the home. No one was in the home, which sits next to a vacant lot.
The fire happened in a front room, officials said.
