GRANITE QUARRY – No one was hurt, but a single-vehicle accident took out a utility pole on N.C. 52 and the power to some residents Wednesday night.
First calls about the crash came in at 9:18 p.m. and police on the scene noted lights were out along North Salisbury Avenue. Officers shut down the area between Church and Bank streets so Duke Power crews could work on restoring power.
A representative from Windstream was on the way to the scene to restore communications services.
