'The Depths of her Soul: The Musical” to be performed Nov. 10 at Livingstone

The play “The Depths of her Soul the Musical” will be presented at the Varick Auditorium on the campus of Livingstone College on November 10, 2012. This play was written, directed and produced by Stephanie Grant Redmon,a native of Mocksville.
The cast is made up of l residents from local counties including Davie, Rowan and Forsyth. Music is provided by the The Wiseman Brothers from Salisbury and Al Mason of Mocksville.. The opening program music and the intermission music will be performed by The Minister Kevin Scott choir. The play is based on Redmon’s book, “The Depths of her Soul.”
“The Depths of Her Soul the Musical” is based on the book “The Depths of her Soul,” which is about a young teen named “Sarah” who is strong minded, smart, intelligent and caring. God has given Sarah a beautiful voice, she has been singing since a very young child. Her parents have taught her to always keep God first, to trust him no matter what happens in life. Sarah’s life takes a turn when she becomes involved with peer pressure and turns away from friends and family which will lead her down a troubled path of lies, sex, secrecy, prostitution and tragedy that will affect her and her family.
There will be a matinee at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m. and the opening program at 1:45 p.m. Ticket price is $8.
The evening show is at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the opening program at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Student tickets (with ID) will be $8. Children 7 and under will be admitted free.
