Antiques appraisal fair runs Friday and Saturday
SPENCER – The Spencer Doll and Toy Museum’s Antiques Appraisal Fair runs Friday and Saturday.
Antiques dealer and certified appraiser Michael Hansen will take a look at visitors’ items and offer advice and information regarding a broad spectrum of general merchandise, including toys. He will do appraisals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at 108 Fourth St., across from the N.C. Transportation Museum.
People are encouraged to bring family heirlooms, yard sale bargains and long-lost items salvaged from attics and basements. No furniture or jewelry please.
The cost is $5 per item, with a limit of two items per person per day. The event is a fundraiser for the new nonprofit museum.
