Carol File is a new member of the Lake Hickory Advisory Council, which includes Alexander, Davie, Iredell and Rowan counties.
File, who is the campground supervisor for Rowan Parks and Recreation, will be part of LGFCU’s volunteer-driven initiative not only to educate people on the benefits of credit union membership but also to relay feedback to the board of directors regarding products and services, delivery of service and member needs.
Advisory council members, who represent the philosophical character of the credit union and contribute their time without compensation, function as LGFCU’s eyes and ears throughout the state, serving as liaisons between credit union members and non-members and LGFCU management.SALISBURY – Businesses can sign up now to sponsor the 53rd Annual Holiday Caravan or register a parade entry.
Between 80,000 and 100,000 people are expected to line the main streets of Spencer and Salisbury for the parade, which will start at 2 p.m. in Spencer and 3 p.m. Salisbury Nov. 21.
The Board of Directors of the 2012 Holiday Caravan Parade has laid the groundwork for this year’s event and celebration. The parade is an all-volunteer production and relies on business participation to ensure the “Carolinas’ loveliest and liveliest holiday parade” will be a successful celebration each year.
