Mentoring Group touts bullying awareness at Salisbury High

SALISBURY – The PEARLS mentoring group hosted an anti-bullying campaign to bring awareness to the issue.
PEARLS stands for Positive, Educated, Respectful Ladies.
Students and teachers united together to bring awareness to bullying. As a part of the Unity Day, organized by Pacer.org National Bullying Prevention Center, students at Salisbury High wore orange and received stickers and buttons to show that they are taking a stand against bullying.
The group wanted to bring awareness to a serious issue that many students face in school. PEARLS Mentoring Group is a mentoring group founded by Felecia Young.
The group members are Whitney Mitchell, Shayla Snowden, Treasure Hopkins, Tameria Riche, Jaleena Kelly and Janiya Withers.
