President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney are scheduled to take the stage at 9 p.m. in a town-hall style debate at New York’s Hofstra University. They will take questions from about 80 voters, who say they haven’t committed to either candidate yet.
The stakes are high, with the Nov. 6 election looming and polls showing the candidates tied in the race.
