SALISBURY – The line for the Hambley-Wallace House wrapped around the block today as people waited for more than an hour to see the fully restored mansion during OctoberTour.
Poised to be one of the most well-attended OctoberTours in the event’s 37-year history, the weekend-long festival and tour of homes continues until 5:30 p.m. today, with an After Party scheduled for this evening on the grounds of the Hall House on West Bank Street.
OctoberTour resumes from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday and features several other historic homes in addition to the Wallace mansion.
Vendors, entertainment and children’s games are located on the Hall House lawn and in the 300 block of West Bank Street.
Tickets are $25 each and are available at each of the homes on tour and at the Henderson Law Office on West Fisher and South Church streets.
OctoberTour benefits the Historic Salisbury Foundation.
