North Rowan's iPod program entered into state contest

SALISBURY — The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education recently voted to enter North Rowan High School’s one-to-one iPod program into a contest hosted by the North Carolina School Board Association.
The program will compete for the award for excellence in educational programs in the technology category.
Criteria for submission is a program that has made a difference for students and concepts can be replicated. It must also be innovative, sustainable and connect to the board’s vision.
The program provides all the students at the school with an iPod Touch that they can use both at school and home.
The board expects to find out the results in a couple of weeks.
