ROCKWELL – A 46-year-old woman was arrested after her father told authorities she stole his credit card and spent nearly $4,000.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Sabrina Dowell Roseman with 24 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense Monday morning.
Deputies said her father, Burnie Hudspeth, 74, told officers on Sept. 21 Roseman took his credit card.
She was charged two days later with credit card theft.
On Oct. 1, Hudspeth returned to the Sheriff’s Office with a bank statement from Wells Fargo which detailed more than $3,900 in purchases from gas stations, retail stores and fast food restaurants.
Hudspeth said Roseman has been helping him manage his affairs prior to the allegations.
Roseman, of Westpark Drive in Rockwell, was not in jail Tuesday.
She is expected to have her first appearance in court Wednesday.
