Salvation Army receiving Christmas applications for families in need

SALISBURY – ?The Salvation Army is accepting Christmas applications for families in need at the holidays. The organization will take applications Monday through Friday, Oct. 8-12, from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Applications will also be accepted on Monday and Wednesday Oct. 8 and Oct. 10, from 6 p.m-8 p.m.
Applications will be received at the Salvation Army office, 620 Bringle Ferry Road.
Applicants must take the following items:
? Current N.C. picture ID or driver’s license. If ID is expired, bring a lease and a utility bill.
? Social Security card or W-7 for each member in the household.
? Birth certificate for all children 12 and younger.
? Proof of all income and expenses.
? Unemployment and food stamp verification letter.
? Custody papers if a guardian.
