Former downtown chef has new job
SALISBURY – The former co-owner of The Sweetest Thing in downtown Salisbury has reappeared as the new dining services manager for a local assisted living center.
Lynne Harrell is whipping up her popular cookies, pies and cakes at Carillon Assisted Living of Salisbury.
Harrell, 30, brings a level of culinary expertise to her new role that belies her youthful appearance in the dining room, Executive Director Wendy Livengood said.
Residents are marveling at her mastery of southern cuisine, Livengood said.
