Two women robbed outside Statesville Boulevard bar

?SALISBURY – Police said three men assaulted two Salisbury women during an armed robbery Friday night.
The victims, a 41-year-old and 33-year-old, were thrown to the ground and their purses were taken outside of the Carriage Room on Statesville Boulevard, according to a Salisbury Police report.
One woman was struck in the head with a handgun, officers said.
She was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and was treated and released.
The three suspects attacked the women in the parking lot just after midnight.
Two purses, a cell phone and a little more than $100 was taken in the robbery.
One suspect was described as a black male wearing a large coat and a white toboggan.
Descriptions on the other two suspects were not available Monday morning.
