Debates to be held and viewed at Livingstone

The Rowan-Salisbury branch of the NAACP will hold a candidate forum and Presidential debate viewing Wednesday evening at Livingstone College.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hilliard Room of the Hood Building at Livingstone, candidates in local and state races will speak and answer questions.
Candidates for Rowan County Commissioner, the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education, N.C. House District 77 and other offices are expected to attend.
Then, at 9 p.m., the college’s political science department will host a viewing and evaluation of the debate between President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney. Audience members will have the chance to share their opinions on different parts of the debate.
Livingstone College is located at 701 West Monroe Street in Salisbury.
