CLEVELAND – Brian Davis, executive director of Historic Salisbury Foundation, will teach a class Oct. 27 on the proper cleaning of cemetery headstones.
The class will be held at 9 a.m. in the historic cemetery of Christ Episcopal Church in Cleveland.
Davis will touch on how to inspect the markers, including when to proceed on your own, or when to call in a professional. He also discusses materials used for markers, symbolism often seen in cemeteries and the proper techniques for cleaning.
“It’s a fun class to teach, especially around Halloween,” says Davis, who has taught the class several times in the past.
The cost is $10 for members of Historic Salisbury Foundation and $12 for non-members.
Folks can pre-register by calling Mark Bias at the foundation, 704-636-0103, or they can just show up for the class the morning of Oct. 27. Space is not limited.
