81-year-old missing in Cabarrus

Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding an 81-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Johnny Jack Mooney was last seen by a family member on Sunday, Sept. 23, at around 2 p.m. It is believed he left home sometime before 8 a.m. on Monday morning. Mooney, who lives alone at 9660 Mt. Pleasant Road S. in Midland, walks daily and has wound up in Locust on other occasions. Law enforcement in both Cabarrus and Stanly counties have made extensive searches and have not been able to locate him.
Mooney is an 81-year-old white male, 5 feet 10 inches, 130 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans and gray tennis shoes.
