SALISBURY – A 41-year-old Gold Hill woman was found apparently passed out in the driver’s seat of a car on Heilig Avenue Friday.
Inside the car, authorities said, were various yard statues, potted plants and children’s toys.
Neighbors in the area later told officers the items belonged to them.
Homeowners from four different residences awoke Friday morning to find the property missing, police said.
Authorities found Angela Michelle Tidwell, of St. Peters Church Road, unconscious in the vehicle about 7 a.m. Tidwell “seemed confused” and could not find any identification when Salisbury Police woke her, an arrest report said.
Authorities said they found a small straw with orange powder on it inside the car. The powder was later determined to be Alprazolam, a prescription drug used to treat anxiety.
Officers also said they found a Hydrocodone tablet, used for pain relief, in Tidwell’s possession.
The property was returned to the neighbors, police said.
Tidwell was charged with four counts of misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of a schedule II drug, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
