Three people were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon following a head-on collision in eastern Rowan County.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper C.T. Walker said Jennifer Tucker, 25, of Rockwell veered her Mazda four-door passenger car left of center traveling south on Organ Church Road, striking a Honda Highlander driven by Elijah Freeman, 19, of Rockwell. The accident happened just north of Shive Road about 4 p.m.
Tucker, who was entrapped in the car, and a 5-year-old male passenger were taken to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast in Concord. Freeman was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Walker said their injuries appeared to be minor.
Tucker has been charged of driving left of center. Walker said speed was not a factor in the accident.
